Morethanpolish Ltd brings you some of the best products available to enhance your motoring pleasure. They are the results of our careful research, often long negotiations, and personal testing where possible. We therefore practise what we preach.
For our carcovershop.co.uk customers, we have merged both sites in July 2026 to create a faster, better mobile experience combining all our products using the latest technology.
I started Morethanpolish in 2003, bringing quality product ranges to car shows and the Internet, backed by sound, practical advice. Since then we have grown to be one of the most respected web-based retailers in the country, and still take products and advice to car shows every year. Why? Because I enjoy seeing old and making new customers, seeing the cars and being around people with a shared passion.
I use many of our products on my cars – Race Glaze, Renovo, Zymol, Kenotek, 4Detailer, a breathable Protector4 and indoor Custom Peachskin cover, and Waterproof Flurocoated cover, and all are used regularly. My 1990 Porsche 944 Turbo (from 2003-2023) marked our accreditation as Authorised Resellers of Zymol in November 2007 with an application of Zymol Vintage and Royale, when training on Zymol products.
We supply almost every UK vehicle manufacturing plants with a range of more niche products from Mobil, Shell, Castrol, AkzoNobel, Titan, Morris, Standulux, Flex, Rupes, Festool, Koch Chemie, Concept Chemicals, Menzerna, Stabilant 22 and many, many more. It’s not obvious that we would, but we do !
Thus, with a deep personal involvement in the premium and classic car sector, currently running my third and fourth Porsches (a very early 986 Boxster was added in 2017, and featured heavily in 911& Porsche World September 2022 and May 2026 issues) after a classic Rover P6, I also served as a Lincolnshire Area Group Organiser of the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain for 8 years and worked with various motoring publications such as TotalMG, Octane and ClassicDriver.com. I currently own an L322 Range Rover, Fiat Coupe, 2 Alfa GTVs, MX-5 and more.. I also wrote a monthly motoring column in 5 regional magazines for many years. I spend all day talking to owners of sports, premium, more modest and classic cars so am always delighted to recommend the best products to suit your car, your driving patterns, detailing experience and pocket.
We always have time to explain our products and make recommendations, and at shows, demonstrate them. We are not a ‘pile them high’ supermarket of car care products, preferring personal advice and proven products. This I feel makes us very different from so many operators with an impressive web facade and a mobile phone number. We have 5 permanent members of staff on site at our combined office and warehouse near Stamford, ready to help you, and our phone number is plain to see.
So if you want a personally tailored recommendation from across our ranges, please contact us. We will take into account what you already have in your car care arsenal, not try to sell you things you don’t need.

In 2023, with our partners Classicline Insurance, we ran the first and successful Festival of the Dead car show, in Stamford, for manufacturers of cars no longer in business. With 450+ cars attending, we hope to do it again in 2027.
We also become UK Distributors of Swissvax in 2024 after having been resellers from 2003-2007.

Provided you despatch the goods to Morethanpolish at your own expense, and they are comparable with the product you purchase from us in replacement, we will dispose of your waste goods in compliance with the Regulations. We will provide the correct address after your purchase. We take seriously the need to minimise unsorted waste, promote recycling and protect public health. We have a certified ‘zero to landfill’ waste policy as well as being fully compliant ourselves.
